“ We had a lovely overnight and recommend this place. We had a downstairs room organised by the staff to help my husband who has mobility issues. Had a delicious lunch and I spent a very good afternoon writing in the quiet bar and watching just a bit of the world going round. I could go on about our pleasantly, lazy day but you might want to know other stuff. The inn has a comfortable feel, not upswept to the nth degree so much you wonder if you are allowed into the bar without a) sighing over the hand-roasted peanuts or b) someone will tell you the name of the posh interior designer. There are little bits about the place which would probably should have been dealt with - a bit of damp wallpaper here or there and actually it would have been good to have more than one coat hanger in the bedroom. But if you are the kind of person who wants a really nice comfy place to stay, this is it. And you will be delighted to find you have added great staff and really good food. ”
“ Long overdue meet up with an old friend, we spent a very relaxing day at the Bourne Valley Inn telling tall tales and catching up. Large, airy bar area with plenty of comfortable seating. Great menu, both lunch and supper with a good range on the specials board - the Scott eggs were excellent! the whole team were very friendly and eager to help. Rooms are clean, spacious and well appointed. Plenty of parking and it's a lovely tranquil setting down by the water meadows and there's acres of outdoor seating too. Great stay, would definitely recommend! ”

The Manager was attentive, knowledgeable and very welcoming with his service. We are new to the Area and this will be our new local. ”
“ We stayed at the Bourne Valley Inn as we were walking g the Test Valley Way. It was perfectly located with lovely staff and a very comfortable room. The cafetiere with fresh milk and coffee was a lovely touch. We had both dinner and breakfast, both of which were excellent. Overall it was well priced and a lovely place to stay. ”

“ Friendly with good food and comfortable beds. Refurbished stylishly in 2022, the rooms have a hunting/fishing theme and dark panelled walls. The bathroom in room 'Kent' is modern, has an outside patio with table, and includes a proper bath and a good shelf for toiletries above the sink. If the lights were over the sink, there were hand grips in the bath/shower and the toilet didn't have a 'smash-crash' lid it would be perfect. It's a short walk to the Test riverside in the nature reserve. The restaurant's ambiance is pleasant, the food tasty and the breakfast is substantial. Mind your head on the low beams in some places! Dog friendly. ”
